Hi everyone, Hope you are all keeping well. Over the weekend in between incidents, I visited a very special 7 year old girl known as Tabitha who stole my heart a couple of years ago when she attended the local Nursery at Rosliston . Tabitha was quite scared of me, and I think she was overwhelmed by my presence, but as time went on she was encouraged by her peers to at least wave knowing that I was around to help the community. So recently, a little bird told me that Tabitha was helping her mum and grandmother with fundraising. The charity stall raised vital funds for Friends of the Baby Unit, a charity founded by Tabitha’s grandmother 50 years this year. This charity has spent five decades providing essential equipment, comfort and support to babies, their families and the dedicated caring staff. Tabitha’s grandmother has been awarded the British Empire Medal, in the Kings honours – BEM. Recognising her outstanding services to premature babies, neonatal care and charitable fundraising. Tabitha was born 6 weeks prematurely and received specialist care in this unit- NICU. Between both the local primary school at Rosliston, and the cake and charity stall event at the weekend, plus online donations to the just giving page :-
https://www.justgiving.com/page/samantha-cammish-4?utm medium=FA&utm source=CL the current total stands at a whopping £1075.00. And as you can see from our picture together, Tabitha is now very comfortable with my presence 😊 Tabitha was then treated to a visit around the Swadlincote police station for her fantastic efforts, and collected some more donations from my colleagues. Well done Tabitha, you are an absolute super star 🌟 🥰🥰
